Privacy Policy

We collect the minimum we need to make Steward work, we don't sell your data, and we don't train AI models on your task content. Everything below is the long version of that.

Steward is operated by Avalon Design Studio (“we,” “us”). If you have any questions about this policy, email us at privacy@avalondesignstudio.com.

• Account information: your name, email address, and password (hashed; we never see the plaintext).
• Workspace content: tasks, projects, comments, check-in replies, and anything else you or your team create inside Steward.
• Usage data: basic logs (timestamps, IP addresses, browser info) for debugging and abuse prevention.
• Device info: if you install the iPhone app, a push-notification token so we can deliver check-ins.

We do not collect health data, financial account details, or precise geolocation.

• To provide the core product — store your tasks, detect stale ones, generate check-ins, deliver notifications.
• To send transactional email (password resets, invites, digests).
• To debug errors and keep the service healthy.
• To improve the product — we look at aggregated patterns, never individual task content, unless you explicitly send us a support request with a transcript.

Steward runs on infrastructure provided by a small number of trusted vendors. Each of them processes your data solely to provide us the service, under their own privacy terms:

• Supabase — database and authentication
• Vercel — application hosting
• Groq — language model inference for Steward's chat and check-ins
• Resend — transactional email delivery
• Apple Push Notification service (APNs) — iOS push delivery, if you install the app

We do not send your data to language-model providers that use it for training. Groq's free tier does not retain prompts for training.

We use session cookies to keep you signed in. We do not currently run third-party analytics or advertising cookies. If that changes, we'll update this page before we ship it.

We retain your account and workspace data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your workspace content within 30 days, except for records we're legally required to keep.

You can:

• Access, export, or correct your data
• Delete your account
• Ask us what we have about you

Steward is not intended for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect data from them.

If we make material changes, we'll email account holders before they take effect. Small fixes (typos, clarifications) may happen without notice.
